      @mgns @andersmoldin This is like the people complaining that Apple was ignoring newspapers because they talked about magazines first. They then talked about newspapers. Apple has hired TV execs outside the US to develop original programming, but those execs haven't had as much time to work

    @mgns @andersmoldin Here's an example: hired four months after Erlicht and Van Amburg. variety.com/2017/tv/news/jay-hunt-apple-europe-creative-director-channel-4-1202598420/ they have gone on to hire numerous other execs in this group

      @mgns @andersmoldin Much of Netflix's and Amazon's output is also made in North America. Sort of how Hollywood dominated cultural output in the 20th century. Somehow Netflix has managed to thrive with the mix of US and international content, I suspect Apple is emulating them
