@verge @reckless I think testing podcast microphones for beginners in a studio environment was a mistake - most podcasters (esp. non-pros) are in noisy, echoey environments they can't control. Some great mics are bad choices for real-world environments, as @marcoarment wrote at length.Permalink On twitter.com

@verge @reckless @marcoarment Also, this story seems to ignore a lot of relevant microphone models in favor of newer products with unusual designs. I know firsthand that podcasters are hungry for good product recommendations. This feels like a missed opportunity.On twitter.com
