    By the way, speaking of UCSD, Apple's Bill Atkinson, Bud Tribble, and Jef Raskin all went to UCSD. UCSD alumni were a huge part of the creation of the Mac. Atkinson and Tribble went to Revelle College, which was my college too. Many years later.

      And for a biology and engineering school, UCSD has produced a surprisingly large number of novelists, including SF novelists Brin, Bear, Benford, Weir, Feist, and Vinge. Also @AimeeBender, whose name rings a bell so I bet we took a lit class or two together.
