@peterhartlaub As @GrantBrisbee wrote today, a whole lot of being a baseball fan is vibes. The cost of killing fans' vibes is hard to quantify, but when the vibes are already at a pretty low point, killing more of them seems a bit foolish. (Assuming she was pushed out, per Killion.)
